Ralf Rangnick reportedly overhauls Manchester United's dining menu after being left disappointed with the fitness levels in his squad.

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has reportedly overseen a major overhaul of the squad's dining menu.

The 63-year-old has posted a mixed bag of results since taking the reins from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, winning six, drawing four and losing two of his 12 games in charge so far.

Rangnick has supposedly been left disappointed with the players' fitness levels, and according to The Sun, United's squad have been given strict dietary requirements to adhere to.

A source told the publication: "Ralf has high standards and wants to play a pressing game — but the players are not fit enough. He's analysed all the data and identified what they need to cut out of their diets and eat more of.

"There's no more bacon sandwiches or burgers on rest days and he's banned boozing and ordered them all into the gym for extra sessions. [Cristiano] Ronaldo is advising and mentoring teammates on workouts and eating, and they're all trying to follow his lead."

Rangnick has also discussed Man United's need for a new striker, claiming that the Red Devils 'obviously' need to sign a new number nine for the 2022-23 season.
