Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Red Star Belgrade

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday.

Manchester City will be looking to claim back-to-back victories when they travel to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade in their final Champions League group-stage fixture on Wednesday night.

The Citizens ended a four-game winless run in the Premier League by beating Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road on Sunday courtesy of second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish.

Pep Guardiola's side will now shift their focus back to the Champions League, and although they have already qualified for the last 16 as Group G winners, the reigning champions will endeavour to preserve their perfect record in the group by claiming maximum points against a Red Star side, who have already been eliminated.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Barak Bakhar's side.

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kevin De Bruyne has been sidelined since August with a hamstring injury, and although the Belgian has been included in City's squad for the FIFA Club World Cup that takes place later this month, he is targeting a return to action in the New Year.

Erling Haaland

Possible return date: December 16 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Erling Haaland was not involved in the win at Luton due to a "bone stress reaction" in his foot according to Guardiola, who has suggested that the striker may not recover in time to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

Jeremy Doku
