Half-Time Report: Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers goalless at the break

Leicester City are being held to a goalless draw at home by Queens Park Rangers, despite chances for both sides.

Despite good chances at either end, it remains 0-0 at half time in this afternoon's Championship clash between Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers.

The Foxes are already promoted, but a win today would see them inch closer to the league title, while QPR are guaranteed a playoff place.

Leicester started well and threatened on a couple of occasions through Riyad Mahrez as QPR failed to get a touch of the ball.

Anthony Knockaert wasted two half-chances moments later, first swinging wildly after David Nugent's layoff, and then dragging the ball wide after a good run from midfield.

The visitors improved after that though, with Modibo Maiga getting involved, curling the ball wide before setting up Yun Suk-Young, who tested the goalkeeper from a tight angle.

Kasper Schmeichel was called into action again when Niko Kranjcar found space and fired towards goal before producing another double stop during a goalmouth scramble towards the end of the half.

Andy King then found Nugent with a cross, but the striker failed to make meaningful contact, before nicking the ball off Karl Henry and rounding the goalkeeper, only to see his effort blocked by Nedum Onouha.

Despite Leicester's late flurry, the score remains goalless at half time.
