Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Chelsea could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea still have numerous fitness concerns to work around for the visit of Brentford to Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League's West London derby.

As well as long-term absentee Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles + back), Andreas Christensen and Reece James are back in the fold but might not be risked with Real Madrid in mind.

Saul Niguez and Kepa Arrizabalaga may be able to force their way into the squad following recent illnesses, while Christian Pulisic will be a late return from international duty and is unlikely to start the game.

Thiago Silva was rested for Brazil's victory over Bolivia earlier this week and should therefore be fine to take his place at the back, where Malang Sarr could drop out for Marcos Alonso after playing the full 90 in the FA Cup win over Middlesbrough.

Jorginho has struggled for regular starts this season and may lose out to the N'Golo Kante-Mateo Kovacic pairing here, with Mason Mount expected to continue slightly further forward.

With Pulisic returning to Stamford Bridge late, a spot has opened up for Timo Werner to start on the left-hand side after his goal for Germany against Israel during the international period.

Hakim Ziyech's spot is not in any real danger, and despite finding the back of the net against Boro, Romelu Lukaku is once again expected to make way for Kai Havertz.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso; Kante, Kovacic; Ziyech, Mount, Werner; Havertz
