Jonathan Davies ready for New Zealand showdown

Jonathan Davies says that he is feeling "fine" after overcoming injury in time for this weekend's Autumn International clash against world champions New Zealand.

Wales centre Jonathan Davies has insisted that he is raring to go, having returned from injury ahead of this weekend's Autumn International meeting with New Zealand.

The 26-year-old has been missing since October due to injury, although he was named in Warren Gatland's 15-man squad for the showdown against the world champions at the Millennium Stadium.

Davies is likely to face Sonny Bill Williams and Conrad Smith in midfield as Wales look to end their 25-game run without victory over the Kiwis, but it is a challenge that he is relishing.

"You don't want to get injured when you are in the Wales camp because you probably get flogged more than the fit boys," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying. "I have done a lot of fitness work, the conditioners have worked hard with me and the injury feels fine.

"You want to put yourself up against the best and that's what is going to happen on Saturday. Ideally I would have had a bit more game time but that's how the world goes.

"I played against [Sonny Bill Williams] away with the Scarlets at Toulon, but I try and forget that one. He's shown he can jump back and forth from rugby league to union and, as well as his off-loading ability, I think he's a very intelligent player."

Dan Biggar, Rhys Webb and Leigh Halfpenny also return to the Wales squad for Saturday's clash.
