Leigh Centurions managing director Andy Mazey has announced that Wigan Warriors have made a bid for prop Sam Hopkins.
The Kingstone Press Championship outfit have revealed that an unnamed club has also made their interest in the 23-year-old known.
Mazey wrote on Twitter: "Leigh will meet to discuss two bids later, one of which I can confirm is Wigan. Pure speculation at this stage, no deal for Sam has been agreed with Wigan nor anyone else."
Hopkins, who has scored eight tries in 11 appearances this season, signed a one-year deal with Leigh at the start of the campaign.
