Wednesday's La Liga predictions including Valencia vs. Athletic Bilbao

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's La Liga action, including Valencia vs. Athletic Bilbao.

Alaves vs. Granada (Wednesday, 6.30pm)

Alaves play host to Granada on Wednesday evening knowing that three more points may be enough to realistically put themselves out of the reach of the bottom three.

Meanwhile, Granada make the trip to Mendizorroza sitting just four points off seventh position, a scenario which should see them push for a maximum return against their relegation-threatened opponents.

We say: Alaves 1-2 Granada

While both clubs have been poor since the resumption, we expect a lively encounter, one which could benefit the home side who are in danger of accepting the safety of mid-table. Although Alaves have home advantage, they are playing with an added pressure on their shoulders which could hinder their performance.

Valencia vs. Athletic Bilbao (Wednesday, 6.30pm)

Valencia and Athletic Bilbao meet at the Mestalla on Wednesday evening with just one point separating the clubs in the La Liga standings.

Sitting in eighth and ninth position respectively, each club is under pressure to get another win on the board as they bid to qualify for next season's Europa League.

We say: Valencia 1-2 Athletic Bilbao

Despite having home advantage, we make Valencia the underdogs heading into this contest. Athletic are beginning to put together some momentum, and another victory here will leave the teams above them looking over their shoulders.

Real Betis vs. Villarreal (Wednesday, 9.00pm)

Villarreal will be looking to further their charge for a top-four finish when travel to Seville to face off against Real Betis at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Betis, meanwhile, have little to play for with the season drawing to a close as they lie 13th in the table after 32 matches.

We say: Real Betis 1-3 Villarreal

Villarreal have gone from strength to strength since play was resumed and are firmly in the argument for a top-four finish. Betis are all but assured of their mid-table standing and have struggled for results in the past few weeks, so we are going for a comfortable away win.

Real Valladolid vs. Levante (Wednesday, 9.00pm)

Real Valladolid will be looking to end their four-game winless run in La Liga when they play host to Levante at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla on Wednesday.

The two sides are separated by six points in the table as things stand, with Levante sitting in 12th with 41 points, while Valladolid occupy 14th spot with 35 points.

We say: Real Valladolid 2-1 Levante

Valladolid will be more determined than ever to get three points on the board and end their barren run, while Levante have only managed to amass 13 points on the road all season. Gonzalez is likely to freshen his team up and welcome several regular fixtures back to the starting XI, so we are backing the home side to take the spoils on Wednesday evening.
