David Navarro: 'We were poor at Bernabeu'

Levante defender David Navarro bemoans his side's poor display in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid.

Levante defender David Navarro has admitted that his side were far from their best in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale scored both goals as Levante lost in the Spanish capital, but Navarro believes that the La Liga strugglers could have caused an upset if they were at their best.

"We are a little bit embarrassed because I felt we didn't give 100%. Maybe it was the pressure or their quality but we were not decisive enough. This is a difficult place to come to and we didn't play well," Navarro told reporters.

"They didn't overwhelm us as they have done when we've been here before but at the end of the day they beat us 2-0. We've still got a lot of games left and they are all now finals, so we'll continue to fight."

Levante remain 18th in the table, but they are level on points with 17th-placed Deportivo La Coruna.
