Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is wanted by Manchester United as a replacement for Paul Pogba, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the ideal replacement for Paul Pogba.

The Red Devils are expected to allow Pogba to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer next summer, with Real Madrid and Juventus seemingly competing to sign the France international.

According to Fichajes, the 20-time English champions are keen to bring Milinkovic-Savic to the club as the World Cup winner's replacement.

The 26-year-old - also thought to be admired by Liverpool - has scored three times and registered four assists in 18 appearances for his Italian club during the 2021-22 campaign.

Milinkovic-Savic still has two and a half years left to run on his contract with Lazio and is thought to be valued by the Serie A outfit in the region of €70m (£59m).

The Serbia international has scored 50 goals and registered 43 assists in 265 appearances for his current club since making the move from Genk in 2015.
