Javi Garcia 'feeling better' about life at Manchester City

Manchester City's Javi Garcia admits that he feels more settled at the club following his move from Benfica back in 2012.

Manchester City's Javi Garcia has insisted that he is happier at the club following early criticism from supporters.

The Spaniard has struggled to maintain a place in the City first team since moving to the Etihad Stadium from Benfica in 2012 for a reported £16m price tag.

However, the 27-year-old has admitted that he ignores the negativity and is solely focused on performing on the pitch this season.

"I try to hear nothing from the fans," the Daily Star quotes Garcia as saying. "Maybe six months ago, 10 months ago, people maybe didn't say anything good to me and now I try to do my job.

"Now maybe the fans are happier with me, but I just try to do my job, and I try to do the same things I did six months ago. I feel better now in the country, in the team and in the club."

City are currently fourth in the Premier League table, six points adrift of leaders Chelsea with three games in hand.
