Nolito double gives Celta Vigo victory over Rayo Vallecano

Two goals from Nolito leads Celta Vigo to La Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano.

Two goals from Nolito and one from Andreu Fontas has given Celta Vigo a 3-0 La Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano.

Celta Vigo took control of the game in the ninth minute when Tono gave away a penalty. He saw red for the tackle and Nolito despatched the spot kick into the left side of the net.

Iago Aspas tested Rayo goalkeeper Juan Carlos in the 22nd minute when a long-range effort was directed towards the bottom left corner.

The former Liverpool man was lively for Celta and his header went wide of goal on the half-hour mark.

He thought he had scored on the verge of half time when a powerful shot forced Carlos into a reaction save.

The lead was doubled after 50 minutes when Nolito dribbled past two defenders and unleashed a shot into the back of the net.

Fabian Orellana nearly made it three 15 minutes later, but his shot was saved by Carlos.

Andreu Fontas put the game beyond any doubt in the 89th minute when he scored Celta's third.
