The former Croatia international will almost certainly have his sights set on challenging for a European qualification position in the New Year.

Brentford may remain without David Raya, Christian Norgaard, Mathias Jensen, Saman Ghoddos and Bryan Mbeumo after their involvements with their respective nations at the World Cup.
