Team News: Roman Weidenfeller, Ilkay Gundogan miss out for Borussia Dortmund

Roman Weidenfeller and Ilkay Gundogan are among the players to miss out as Borussia Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Roman Weidenfeller and Ilkay Gundogan have both missed out on a spot in the Borussia Dortmund squad for the Bundesliga meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt at Signal Iduna Park.

A back problem keeps Weidenfeller out and the goalkeeper's place is taken by Mitchell Langerak, while Ilkay Gundogan, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United this week, fails to make the squad after battling with a throat infection in recent days.

Sven Bender returns to start alongside Matthias Ginter in the centre of midfield, but Marco Reus is back on the bench after his injury troubles.

Frankfurt are without Bastian Oczipka and Anderson Bamba due to suspension, and Thomas Schaaf has responded by handing starts to Timothy Chandler and Carlos Zambrano, while Lucas Piazon returns to the side further up the pitch.

Dortmund: Langerak, Durm, Hummels, Sokratis, Schmelzer, Bender, Ginter, Blaszczykowski, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang

Frankfurt: Trapp, Chandler, Madlung, Zambrano, Ignjovski, Hasebe, Medojevic, Kittel, Piazon, Seferovic, Valdez
