Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen suggests that he is no rush to pen a new long-term contract at Camp Nou.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has insisted that he is in no rush to sign an extended contract at Barcelona.

Since leaving Borussia Monchengladbach for the Catalan giants in 2014, Ter Stegen has made 221 appearances in all competitions.

However, while suggesting that brief discussions have been held regarding a new deal, the Germany international has indicated that he will not be penning fresh terms in the foreseeable future.

The 27-year-old told Mundo Deportivo: "I have two years left on my contract, my family and I are very happy here, we are at home. The intention is to continue. At the moment there are conversations, but loose ones, because there is no hurry on my part.

"I am very focused on my work, we have some very tough weeks ahead and we want to win. I leave the whole contract subject to my agent, who is the one who is dedicated to it and who informs me of everything."

Although Ter Stegen has a contract until 2022, Barcelona have recently been linked with a move for Ajax stopper Andre Onana.
