Borja Viguera: 'Athletic Bilbao will improve'

Athletic Bilbao striker Borja Viguera insists that the Basque side will overcome their struggles this season.

Athletic Bilbao striker Borja Viguera is confident that the Basque side will turn around their poor season.

Bilbao finished fourth in La Liga last term and as a result, secured qualification for the Champions League.

However, it has been a real struggle this campaign, with just 19 points from 19 games leaving them in 13th position.

"We are all aware we've not had a good first half to the season but there is still time to fix things. In the dressing room we have complete trust in ourselves," Viguera told reporters.

"At the moment there is a negativity in the team and that's something we must change, to turn it into a positive, and we must reverse things as we did at the start of the season following the international break and a game against Real Madrid."

Bilbao are just three points outside of the relegation zone and 20 points off fourth.
