Arsenal 'on the lookout for free transfers and swap deals'

Arsenal will reportedly search for free transfers and swap deals this summer due to financial pressures brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

Arsenal are reportedly searching for free transfers and swap deals as a means of coping with the financial ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has left summer transfer dealings shrouded in uncertainty, and Arsenal could allegedly face losses of up to £50m in the aftermath of the crisis.

As a result, clubs will likely have to reassess transfer strategies in the absence of big-money moves, and according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are hoping to strike deals for free agents when the transfer window reopens.

The report also claims that Mikel Arteta's side would be open to player trades, with Chelsea winger Willian said to be on the radar of the North London outfit.

The Brazilian will see his deal at Stamford Bridge runs out this summer, and the player's agent Kia Joorabchian has supposedly offered the winger to Arsenal as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
