World number two Andy Murray beats David Ferrer 6-2 6-3 in Beijing to set up a meeting with either Grigor Dimitrov or Milos Raonic in the China Open final.

Andy Murray has produced another stellar display to overcome David Ferrer 6-2 6-3 in straight sets and book a place in the final of the China Open.

The world number two was on top throughout in Beijing, getting over the line in a time of 90 minutes to set up a meeting with Grigor Dimitrov, who was handed a walkover victory due to an ankle injury picked up by Milos Raonic in the other semi-final.

Murray, who battled past compatriot Kyle Edmund to make it to this last-four stage, broke his opponent on three occasions in the opening set after losing serve in the third game of the contest.

Ferrer was unable to truly keep in touch with the British ace, with two losses of serve for the Spaniard in quick succession allowing Murray to push on and get the job done in the Far East.

Fellow Brit Johanna Konta had earlier booked her place in the women's final courtesy of victory over Madison Keys.
