St Helens come from behind to edge out Catalans Dragons in the 2021 Super League Grand final, winning their third crown in succession.

St Helens have overturned a second-half deficit to edge out Catalans Dragons by a 12-10 scoreline in the 2021 Super League Grand final.

Despite finishing the regular season in first place, the Dragons needed to defeat the two-time defending champions to win their first-ever crown.

The Dragons went ahead through a penalty, but St Helens got their noses in front when some individual brilliance from Kevin Naiqama saw him go over the line.

The boot of James Maloney helped the Dragons get back on level terms before a 50th-minute try from Mike McKeeken put his side in front.

However, a four-point advantage always looked at risk of being overturned, and it was not long before Maigama recorded his second try of the contest.

Lachlan Coote converted the extras for St Helens before they were able to successfully negotiate the final 12 minutes, capping a fairytale final outing for Maigama.
