Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund.

Wolfsburg vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

In-form Borussia Dortmund make the trip to the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday to face a Wolfsburg side performing below expectations in the Bundesliga.

A very impressive start to 2024 has seen Edin Terzic's side take a place in the top four, and they extended their gap to fifth-place RB Leipzig last weekend.

We say: Wolfsburg 0-2 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have been superb in 2024, and with almost a full complement available to Terzic, they could hand out more misery on Wolfsburg here.

Already in the midst of a six-game winless run, Kovac could hardly have asked for many tougher challenges to arrest that run, and Wolfsburg's dismal record against Dortmund only further shortens their chance of success here.

Mainz vs. Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Mainz 05 will look to halt a dreadful run of results in the Bundesliga this weekend when they play host to Augsburg at Mewa Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts are enduring one of the worst campaigns in their top-flight history, currently second-bottom in the league standings, while the visitors will head into this match in 11th place.

We say: Mainz 05 1-2 Augsburg

Mainz have been very poor this season and look destined for the drop unless they can manage a major turnaround in the second half of the league campaign. However, having recorded only one victory in 21 matches to date, it is difficult to make much of a case for them in this one.

This will certainly not be an easy match for Augsburg, but we are backing them to claim the points.

Hoffenheim vs. Union Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Gameweek 22 in the Bundesliga sees Hoffenheim and Union Berlin battle at the PreZero Arena on Saturday, with the out-of-form hosts keen to push for a top-six spot.

Union are flirting with a relegation tussle as only five points separate them from the bottom three, and they aim to preserve their five-point advantage on Koln.

We say: Hoffenheim 2-2 Union Berlin

The four previous games between these sides at Hoffenheim have seen a minimum of four goals scored, and the pattern could continue as both sides play out a high-scoring tie at the PreZero Arena.

Heidenheim vs. B. Leverkusen (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen make the trip to Heidenheim on Saturday as they look to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table.

Xabi Alonso's side recorded one of the most famous results in the recent history of the Bundesliga when they thrashed Bayern Munich last weekend, convincing many that they will last the pace of a tough title race.

We say: Heidenheim 0-2 Bayer Leverkusen

A 31-game unbeaten run and a five-point gap at the top suggests this Leverkusen fairytale is set to continue, and they are big favourites to win again this weekend.

Heidenheim will make it difficult for Leverkusen here, given their long unbeaten run, but the might of the league leaders may just be too much for Frank Schmidt's side.

Darmstadt vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 2.30pm)

The Bundesliga's cellar-dwelling SV Darmstadt 98 have it all to do in gameweek 22's clash with third-placed Stuttgart, keen to end a wretched run in Saturday's game at Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor.

The struggling side are nine points shy of escaping danger, while the visitors seek a fourth straight league victory this weekend.

We say: SV Darmstadt 98 1-3 Stuttgart

Stuttgart are superior to the struggling bottom club and should secure their sixth away league victory in the encounter.

RB Leipzig vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 5.30pm)

RB Leipzig return to domestic action after their European escapades with a home encounter against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Die Roten Bullen were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek, but Marco Rose's side put in a performance to be proud of, and they should take confidence into this clash.

We say: RB Leipzig 3-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Even though Leipzig have suffered some very frustrating results in 2024, the performances have often been there, and they should have the firepower to claim three points here.

Despite two goalless draws in three games, 16 of Gladbach's 21 league games this season have seen both teams score, and given Leipzig's offensive nature in addition to this, an entertaining encounter could be in store.
