Half-Time Report: Wolfsburg level with Hertha Berlin

Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin are still waiting for a breakthrough after a goalless 45 minutes at the Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin have failed to make a breakthrough in a goalless first half at the Volkswagen Arena.

Nicklas Bendtner was given the chance to impress from the start with Bas Dost on the bench, but the Dane wasted a decent opening in the early stages when he fired over after being picked out by Julian Draxler.

After a sluggish start, Pal Dardai's side enjoyed more possession in attacking areas and sent out a warning to the hosts when Genki Haraguchi fired a shot straight at Diego Benaglio.

However, it was Wolfsburg who continued to play the better football and they threatened again when Daniel Caligiuri was inches wide with a curled effort from the edge of the box.

Another chance arrived before the interval, this time for the visitors, but Benaglio did well to get a strong hand to Haraguchi's strike.
