Wednesday's Chinese Super League predictions including Shanghai Port vs. Wuhan TT

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Chinese Super League fixtures, including Shanghai Port vs. Wuhan Three Towns.

Qingdao Jonoon vs. Shenzhen (Wednesday, 12.35pm)

Two sides that are in desperate need of a win will clash this week when Qingdao Jonoon take on Shenzhen in the CSL, at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium on Wednesday.

After earning promotion back to the top flight last term, the hosts have found it tough-going in the first half of the season and are currently the first side below the dotted line, while the visitors are just one point better off and could find themselves in the drop zone if they lose this match.

We say: Qingdao Jonoon 1-1 Shenzhen

Both these sides have been very poor this season, and it is hard to make a confident case for either of them to go on to win this match. It should be an entertaining one, with both teams expected to go all out for the win, but we feel that they will have to settle for a share of the spoils in the end.

The current CSL league leaders Shanghai Port will take on the defending champions Wuhan Three Towns, at the SAIC Motor Pudong Arena on Wednesday.

Both sides have been very good in the league in recent weeks and will be putting unbeaten streaks on the line in this match, with the hosts currently unbeaten in four, while the away side were last defeated five matches ago.

We say: Shanghai Port 1-1 Wuhan Three Towns

The hosts will be desperate for a win here to maintain their lead at the top of the table, but they have had a noticeable dip in form over the last two matches, which will give the visitors confidence that they can take something from this match. It should be a tight and tactical encounter, and we expect both sides to cancel each other out by the final whistle.

Meizhou Hakka vs. Beijing Guoan (Wednesday, 12.35pm)

Meizhou Hakka will be hoping to continue their recent upturn in form when they play host to Beijing Guoan in the CSL, at the Wuhua Olympic Sports Center Huitang Stadium on Wednesday.

The hosts picked up a vital three points in their last match, which saw them move up to 12th place in the league, while the visitors recorded a huge 5-0 win over Shenzhen, moving them up a spot into sixth at the halfway point.

We say: Meizhou Hakka 2-2 Beijing Guoan

While the visitors do come into this match as the favourites, their away form has been average at best, and they have struggled to put games to bed at times, as they showed against bottom club Dalian Pro a few weeks ago. The hosts have found some form of late and could prove to be a tough opponent here; therefore, we expect them to take a point from this match.

Changchun vs. Zhejiang (Wednesday, 12.35pm)

Round 16 of the 2023 Chinese Super League season sees Changchun Yatai welcome Zhejiang Professional to the Development Area Stadium on Wednesday.

Having both suffered defeat in their respective last outings, the teams head into this one aiming to return to winning ways as quickly as possible.

We say: Changchun Yatai 1-1 Zhejiang Professional

Zhejiang have struggled for goals against Changchun of late, but we are backing them to get on the scoresheet this time around. We are also tipping the sides to cancel each other out and settle for a point apiece in the end.

Nantong Zhiyun vs. Dalian Pro (Wednesday, 12.35pm)

A crunch battle at the bottom sees Nantong Zhiyun entertain the challenge of Dalian Pro at the Rugao Olympic Sports Centre on Wednesday afternoon.

Both teams had to settle for a share of the spoils in their respective last outings and they will be looking to go one better this time around.

We say: Nantong Zhiyun 1-0 Dalian Pro

Neither team has been convincing of late and Wednesday's game could easily swing either way. That said, we are backing the home side to come out on top at the end of the 90 minutes.
