Team News: Ryan Taylor makes first start for 32 months

Ryan Taylor makes his first start in 994 days after being named in Alan Pardew's side to face Queens Park Rangers.

Ryan Taylor has made Newcastle United's starting lineup for the first time in 994 days after being named in the side to face Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

The 30-year-old full-back last started for the Magpies against Sunderland in March 2012.

However, Fabricio Coloccini, Rolando Aarons, Cheick Tiote and Mehdi Abeid are all sidelined for the match because of injury.

Eduardo Vargas misses out for QPR due to the birth of his daughter, while Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora start up top.

Richard Dunne partners Steven Caulker in central defence as Rio Ferdinand is serving the final game of a three-match suspension.

Harry Redknapp's men have lost all six of their away matches this season.

Newcastle United: Krul; Janmaat, Williamson, Dummett, Haidara; R.Taylor, Sissoko, Colback; Cabella, Perez, Ameobi

Queens Park Rangers: Green; Onuoha, Caulker, Dunne, Suk-Yong; Barton, Sandro, Henry, Fer; Austin, Zamora
