Braga held to goalless draw by Moreirense in Primeira Liga match

Moreirense and Braga play out a goalless draw in their Primeira Liga clash as neither team produces enough quality to break the deadlock over the 90 minutes.

Braga have been held to a goalless draw by Moreirense in their Primeira Liga match this evening.

The home side came within inches of taking the lead in the opening stages of the match when Rafael Martins was afforded space and time to fire at goal, but his effort struck the post.

Braga responded and came close themselves, but Rafa could only guide his header from close range over the bar.

The visitors pressed forward again and Igor Stefanovic made a good save to tip Ricardo Ferreira's headed effort past the post after he latched on to Filipe Augusto's cross into the box.

Ahmed Hussan should have put Braga ahead as he capitalised on a mistake in the final third, but he fired his strike wide of the target.

Stefanovic made a fine save to keep the scores level in the second half when he managed to deny Marcelo from close range.

Moreirense had a good chance when Martins managed to raid into the area, but his strike was well saved by Stanislav Kritsyuk.

Both teams upped the ante in the final minutes of the match, but neither were able to break the deadlock as they were forced to settle for a point apiece.

Braga remain in fourth place in the table following the draw, while the home side rise to 14th.
