West Ham United manager David Moyes has admitted that he is looking to bolster his squad in this summer's transfer window.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has admitted that he is looking to bolster his squad in this summer's transfer window.

The Hammers, who currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, are still in with a chance of securing Europa League football next season, but they must win away at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday and hope that Manchester United fail to beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

West Ham's final position in the Premier League could have an impact on their transfer strategy this summer, but nevertheless, Moyes has revealed that he has given plenty of thought to how he can improve his squad.

"The truth is, I've probably been looking forward six months to a year. How can I grow [the squad] a little bit better and stronger? I've been at it all the time and I've never stopped thinking about the future and growing the club," Moyes told reporters on Friday.

"I want things better round the training ground and the stadium. There are lots of things I want to build, but with regards to players, we hope we'll be able to add to what we've got next season.

"We can add to it and maybe get a bit more competition in some areas than we've had at the moment."

West Ham are believed to be open to the prospect of signing goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, while the long-term future of star midfielder Declan Rice is uncertain amid reported interest from the likes of Man United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
