Manchester United reportedly draw up a five-man shortlist of candidates to replace manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, including Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers.

Manchester United have supposedly drawn up a five-man shortlist of potential candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian is coming under increasing pressure following Saturday's 2-0 loss to Manchester City, in particular the manner of his side's defeat at Old Trafford.

A recent report claimed that United chiefs are continuing to stick by Solskjaer, but the 47-year-old may not be supported for much longer if results do not improve.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane have been identified as five possible candidates to succeed Solskjaer should he be given the boot.

Zidane is supposedly holding out for the France job, but Leicester City boss Rodgers allegedly has a verbal agreement in place to take over at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils' derby defeat to Man City has seen them drop to sixth in the Premier League table after they were leapfrogged by Arsenal.
