Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup clash with Watford.

Manchester United will be looking to put Wednesday's EFL Cup semi-final disappointment behind them when they take on Watford in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday night.

The Red Devils were prevented from reaching their first final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Manchester City at Old Trafford.

The 20-time English champions have been on an excellent run in the Premier League and will have the chance to go to the top of the table when they travel to Burnley on January 12.

United's attention will now be on the FA Cup, though, as Solskjaer looks to lead his side past Championship opposition.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this weekend's clash with the Hornets.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Long-term absentee Phil Jones, who continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, is still nursing a knee problem and will again not be available for selection this weekend.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 9 (vs. Watford)

Marcos Rojo was again against Man City due to a calf problem, but the Argentine, who has fallen out of favour at the club, has not yet been officially ruled out of Saturday's contest.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Out
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Edinson Cavani will serve the final game of his three-match suspension this weekend after being charged by the Football Association in relation to a social media post. The Uruguay international could, in theory, make his return in the Premier League clash with Burnley on Tuesday night.
