Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly agrees personal terms with Manchester City over a potential move to the Etihad Stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester City over a potential move to the Etihad Stadium before the end of the transfer window.

The Citizens are believed to have stepped up their interest in the Juventus attacker after learning that they would be unable to sign their leading transfer target Harry Kane, who is staying at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ronaldo has allegedly already told his Juventus teammates that he will complete a move to the Premier League champions over the next few days.

According to reports in Portugal, the 36-year-old has now come to an agreement with Man City over personal terms, while he has already spoken with Citizens boss Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester club are now said to be in talks with Juventus, who are not prepared to allow the forward to leave on a free transfer and instead want a fee in the region of €30m (£25.7m).

Ronaldo has scored 101 times in 134 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions, but his contract is due to expire next June, and the attacker is pushing for a move away from Turin.

The Portugal international previously played in the Premier League for Manchester United between 2003 and 2009, and any move to the Etihad Stadium would be controversial.
