Juventus players are reportedly unhappy about the preferential treatment Cristiano Ronaldo receives after he was given a day off when the squad had to train.

Juventus players are reportedly unhappy with the preferential treatment Cristiano Ronaldo has received which has given the Portuguese forward too much freedom.

Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for Juve on Wednesday but his side are in a race to finish in the top four in Serie A as the Old Lady currently sit fifth with two games remaining.

Following Andrea Pirlo's side's 3-0 defeat to AC Milan on Sunday, Ronaldo was reportedly given the following day off to collect his new Ferrari Monza while his teammates had to report for training.

The Daily Mail reports that the other Juve players are displeased with the favourable treatment Ronaldo receives and the 36-year-old has now become an isolated figure within the squad of players.

The future of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is in doubt as he is believed to be completely uninterested in playing Europa League football should the Old Lady not qualify for the Champions League next season.

Manager Pirlo has dismissed the accusations of giving Ronaldo preferential treatment and told reporters in November: "I treat him like I treat all the other players. I'm always available on and off the pitch. It's easy to have a good relationship between humble people. I'm like that.

"I behave with him – a champion – like I do with Gianluca Frabotta or Manolo Portanova, who are two young players. I do the same things I was used to doing when I was a player."

Ronaldo arrived at the Allianz Stadium in 2018 and has one year remaining on his current contract with the Italian giants.
