Artjoms Rudnevs double inspires Hamburger SV win over Hoffenheim

Hamburger SV climb three places to sixth in the Bundesliga table with a comfortable win over Hoffenheim, courtesy of two goals from Artjoms Rudnevs.

Hamburger SV climbed three places to sixth in the Bundesliga table this evening courtesy of a comfortable win over Hoffenheim at the Imtech Arena.

Artjoms Rudnevs scored both of the game's goals, taking his tally for the season to six.

The 24-year-old broke the deadlock on 28 minutes when he headed home from 14 yards, following Dennis Diekmeier's pin-point cross.

He then put the result beyond doubt 16 minutes from time, slamming the ball into the top-right corner from just inside the penalty area.

Hoffenheim remain in 16th place, with just 12 points from 16 games.
