Half-Time Report: Wycombe Wanderers grab half-time lead

Stuart Lewis gives Wycombe Wanderers a 1-0 half-time lead over Fleetwood Town in League Two.

Wycombe Wanderers are leading Fleetwood Town 1-0 at half time in their League Two clash this evening, thanks to a late first-half goal from Stuart Lewis.

Wycombe created the first chance of the game when Max Kretzschmar cut in from the left, before letting off a shot which was saved in the centre of goal.

Stewart Murdoch hit back for Town, but he saw his header from the centre of the box flash wide to the left with the goal gaping.

In what turned out to be a rather tame first half, Town's Alex Marrow produced a good chance as he turned a right-footed shot from a difficult angle towards goal, only to see it saved at the bottom right corner.

Wycombe grabbed a surprise goal right before the break when Lewis unleashed a right-footed shot from outside the box, which flew through the defence and nestled in the bottom corner.
