Dundee United's Gary Mackay-Steven hails 'unbelievable' victory

Dundee United's Gary Mackay-Steven describes his side's victory over Aberdeen as an "unbelievable feeling" as they reach the Scottish League Cup final.

Dundee United winger Gary Mackay-Steven has described reaching the Scottish League Cup final as an "unbelievable feeling".

The Terrors secured passage to the final after defeating Aberdeen 2-1 courtesy of a late goal by Nadir Cifti, and the midfielder now has his sights set on silverware.

"It's an unbelievable feeling. We just want to go one better and win some silverware this season," BBC Sport quotes Mackay=Steven as saying.

"For long periods it could have gone either way. It was quite open. It was end-to-end."

Mackay-Steven also singled about substitute Ryan Dow for praise after he came off the bench and caused the Dons all kinds of problems.

"Dowser deserves great credit," he added. "He came off the bench and really forced Aberdeen back with his driving runs. It shows the great strength we have on the bench."

The Terrors will meet either Rangers or Celtic in the final in March.
