Everton are reportedly considering a bid for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in order to bolster their squad following recent injuries in that position.

Everton are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to a report.

The 25-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Blues this season after spending the previous campaign on loan with Fulham, and he has picked up three assists throughout the campaign in all competitions.

According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees want to sign Loftus-Cheek this month due to injuries within their midfield which have left the squad depleted, but Thomas Tuchel would prefer to keep the Englishman.

Everton are set to be without both Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph for a minimum of four weeks as they deal with a groin and thigh issue respectively, which is why they want to bolster the squad.

Juventus have also been looking at Loftus-Cheek as a potential signing within January on a loan deal until the end of the season, providing some competition for the Toffees if Chelsea do decide to offload.

Should the Blues keep the England international, then he could be next in action on February 5 when they face Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup.
