Team News: Demarai Gray returns for Birmingham City against Brentford

Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett welcomes back Demarai Gray as his side plays host to Brentford in the Championship.

Gary Rowett has made three changes to his side to face Brentford as he looks to stop Birmingham City's slide down the Championship table.

Demarai Gray, Andrew Shinnie and Rob Kiernan all come into the side as Lee Novak, Wes Thomas and Paul Robinson make way.

New Brentford signing Liam Moore misses out, as does Jake Bidwell, who has to settle for a place on the bench after serving a three-match suspension.

Lewis Macleod is nearing a return from injury, but is not yet fit enough for the matchday squad, while Scott Hogan remains a long-term absentee.

Birmingham City: Randolph; Caddis, Spector, Kiernan, Grounds; Davis, Gleeson, Cotterill, Shinnie; Gray, Donaldson

Brentford: Button; Odubajo, Moore, Tarkowski, Dallas; Douglas, Diagouraga, Jota, Pritchard; Toral, Gray
