Arsenal reportedly still have work to do before they can finalise a transfer for West Ham United's Declan Rice.

Arsenal are reportedly yet to reach an agreement over a transfer for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

The Gunners have made a considerable effort to sign their top target this summer, having submitted a number of offers for the England international.

They saw their first two bids of £80m plus add-ons and £75m plus £15m in add-ons turned down by West Ham, which gave Manchester City hope of completing a deal.

However, the reigning European champions recently pulled out of the race after their offer believed to be worth £90m was rejected.

A recent report claimed that Arsenal returned to the negotiating table and reached an agreement over a £100m fee plus £5m in add-ons.

However, the two clubs still need to iron out details surrounding the payment plan before a British record transfer can be completed.

According to The Sun, West Ham are waiting for the Gunners to reach a compromise over the structure of the deal.

The report states that discussions are ongoing about how the initial £100m fee will be paid, with West Ham hoping to receive the full amount by 2025.

Arsenal, meanwhile, would prefer to split the significant fee over a five-year period, which would result in the £100m being paid by 2028.

Although the two parties are yet to agree on the payment structure, there is no indication that the issue will hamper the move.

Should everything go according to plan, the midfielder will leave West Ham after making 245 appearances across all competitions.

Rice will become Arsenal's latest signing after they kicked off their summer spending with the addition of Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

The Gunners are also on the verge of recruiting Jurrien Timber from Ajax, having entered the closing stages of negotiations.
