Andy Murray has revealed that he is desperate to end the season on a high as he looks to secure his place in the ATP Tour Finals.
The Scot has won three titles in the past five weeks to give himself a great chance of reaching the Tour Finals, but he insists that an appearance at the season-ending event is not the only prize driving him on.
"I always wanted to qualify for it, but I also was really wanting to get back into the top eight players in the world, and it makes a huge difference for seedings in the major events," Murray told reporters.
"I still have a chance of getting maybe to number four between now and the end of the year, which would be very important for the beginning of next year, as well. Really, the only way to do that is also to get to the O2, as well."
Murray meets Julien Benneteau in the Paris Masters on Wednesday.
