Tony Smith hoping for strong finish to regular season for Warrington Wolves

Tony Smith predicts some "interesting" developments in the league table when the Super 8s get underway in the coming weeks.

Warrington Wolves boss Tony Smith has urged his players to maintain their momentum heading into the closing stretch of the regular season.

The Wire have won three games on the bounce to move into sixth place in the Super League table.

As the Super 8s moves into sight, Smith is confident that there will be plenty more drama to come over the next few weeks.

"Where you finish after round 23 is just the first part and I think there will be a lot of changes in the Super 8s," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

"There will be some interesting changes when everyone plays each other again and it is down to who gets momentum. We have got a bit of momentum going at the moment and I would like to keep that going."

Warrington play host to high-fliers St Helens this evening, before taking on Castleford Tigers in their last league outing.
