Catalans Dragons prop Mickael Simon signs Wakefield Trinity Wildcats deal

Catalans Dragons prop Mickael Simon pens a two-year deal with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats ahead of next season.

Catalans Dragons prop Mickael Simon has signed a deal to join Wakefield Trinity Wildcats for next season.

The 27-year-old French international has penned a two-year contract at Belle Vue.

Simon previously worked with new Wakefield coach James Webster within the France setup during the 2013 World Cup.

"Mickael is a big, strong ball-carrier with a good engine and he will be able to play big minutes for us in the middle of the field," Webster told the club's official website.

"I know him well from my time with France at the World Cup and he has a very good knowledge of the game and will add something to the two props we've already secured for next year in Scott Anderson and Nick Scruton."

Wakefield return to Super League action on Saturday when they travel to Catalans Dragons.
