Hull FC first-team coach Richard Agar will leave his position at the end of the Super League season.

Richard Agar will leave his position as first-team coach of Super League side Hull FC at the end of the season, the club have confirmed.

The 39-year-old joined the club in 2005 as assistant to John Kear, before taking over at the helm in 2008.

"It has been a fantastic experience to work for Hull FC over the last seven years. I consider it an honour to have worked with the players and staff of this great club," he told the club's official website.

"I leave with pride that we have built a quality squad and culture. I have numerous happy memories and the two Challenge Cup finals and the Grand Final are obvious highlights. I would like to wish the directors, players, staff and fans all the very best for the future."

The club have also announced that Shaun McRae will become the Black and Whites' Director of Rugby at the start of October.
