Wigan Athletic announce Fraser Fyvie departure

Scottish midfielder Fraser Fyvie agrees to cancel his contract with Wigan Athletic after an unsuccessful two and a half years with the Latics.

Championship strugglers Wigan Athletic have announced the exit of Fraser Fyvie by mutual consent.

The 21-year-old Scot has had his contract cancelled after making just one appearance, in the Capital One Cup, this season.

The midfielder joined Wigan two and a half years ago from Aberdeen, but would only appear once for the Latics in the league on the final day of the 2012-13 Premier League season.

In total, he made 11 appearances for Wigan and also had two brief loan spells at Yeovil Town and Shrewsbury Town last season.
