Gary Caldwell pleased with point at Bradford City

Wigan Athletic manager Gary Caldwell believes his side earned their point in their 1-1 draw away to Bradford City.

Wigan Athletic manager Gary Caldwell admitted that he was pleased with his sides' 1-1 draw against Bradford City at Valley Parade after two away games in a week.

The North-West side went ahead through Michael Jacobs but James Hanson earned the Bantams a point and Caldwell believes that his side are starting to put things together after a tough start to life in League One.

The Latics boss told BBC Sport: "I thought we were great, it is a difficult place to come to get a point, after the week we have had in terms of travelling to Peterborough, getting back late and having to come away from home again.

"Our start of the season has not been great but we are putting an unbeaten run together so it is a point gained as far as I am concerned.

"I think that a draw was a fair result, you know when you come here that you are going to be put under pressure to defend set pieces, I thought we defended 99% of them really well and got done by one late on but we stood up to a lot of what Bradford threw at us."

The result leaves Wigan in the playoff places in League One, sitting in fifth position.
