Wales boss Ryan Giggs selects five uncapped players in the squad for the China Cup, which takes place later this month.

Wales boss Ryan Giggs has named a 26-man squad for the China Cup, which includes five uncapped players.

Later this month, the Dragons face two fixtures in Asia - including against China on March 22 - and Giggs has opted to including a number of newcomers in his first squad.

Preston North End duo Chris Maxwell and Billy Bodin, Ipswich Town goalkeeper Michael Crowe, Swansea City full-back Connor Roberts and Brentford centre-back Chris Mepham could all make their first appearances for the senior side.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a notable absentee, but captain Ashley Williams and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale are both included, as is Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn.

Wales will play either Uruguay or Czech Republic in the second fixture in China, regardless of whether they are successful against the tournament hosts.
