Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Newcastle United for Sunday's Premier League clash.

Jose Mourinho is sweating on the fitness of a trio of full-backs ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.

Spurs travel to St James' Park aiming to make it back-to-back wins in the top flight as they look to bridge the three-point gap on fourth-placed Chelsea.

However, Mourinho is almost certain to be without Ben Davies for the match after the defender returned early from Wales duty with what was described as a "significant" injury.

Fellow full-backs Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty are nursing minor injuries, meanwhile, though the former looks likely to get the nod to start this weekend.

Japhet Tanganga filled in at right-back last time out and, given the nature of the 2-0 win at Aston Villa, Mourinho may be tempted to stick with the same back four here.

Indeed, with Son Heung-min still unavailable due to injury, Spurs may go with the entirely same XI from last time out, which would mean Carlos Vinicius partnering Harry Kane up top.

Kane has been involved in 43 goals in 40 games in all competitions this term (27 goals, 16 assists), which is just two short of his best ever season in his senior career in 2017-18.

Tottenham possible starting lineup: Lloris; Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon, Reguilon; Lo Celso, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Lucas; Kane, Vinicius
