Republic of Ireland draw Bosnia-Herzegovina in Euro 2016 playoff

Republic of Ireland will face Bosnia-Herzegovina in their Euro 2016 playoff match next month.

The Republic of Ireland have been drawn against Bosnia-Herzegovina in their Euro 2016 playoff match.

Martin O'Neill's team will play the first leg away between November 12-14, before the return leg at the Aviva Stadium, which will take place between November 15-17.

The Republic of Ireland have faced Bosnia-Herzegovina just once before, in May 2012 when they won 1-0, thanks to a Shane Long goal.

Bosnia-Herzegovina are coached by Mehmed Baadarevic and count Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic among their players.

"It's going to be a difficult game. They've got quality in their squad and they are a well organised team," former Republic of Ireland international Ian Harte told Sky Sports News.

The other playoffs are Ukraine vs. Slovenia, Sweden vs. Denmark and Norway vs. Hungary, with the winners of the ties securing their place at next year's finals in France.
