Newcastle United teenager Adam Campbell reveals that he is "lost for words" after making his Premier League debut in the 2-1 win over Stoke City on Sunday.

Newcastle United's Adam Campbell admits that making his Premier League debut for the club has yet to fully dawn on him.

The 18-year-old came on for the last four minutes in the 2-1 win over Stoke City on Sunday, and helped play a part in the winning goal.

The youngster's pass found Sylvain Marveaux who created the assist for Papiss Cisse, and Campbell revealed that making his first appearance in the Premier League is something that has left him "lost for words".

"I'm just lost for words really. It's just hard to believe that I've actually made my debut in the Premier League," Campbell told the club's official website.

"I was just sitting there [in the dressing room] before and one of the kit men was like 'just think, you've just played in the Prem. I felt like I was invisible for the first couple of minutes I was on - I was getting a bit worried I wasn't going to get a touch.

"But it fell nicely and I looked up and Sylvain had found himself a lovely bit of space and did the rest. It was a great ball and Papiss just did what he does best to round off a memorable day. You couldn't have written it. It's magic. It's hard to explain."

The win takes Newcastle up to 13th in the Premier League.
