Billy Sharp cancels out Liam Trotter's early effort to send Nottingham Forest into the break level with Millwall at the City Ground.

Billy Sharp's third goal in four games earned Nottingham Forest half-time parity against Millwall at the City Ground this afternoon.

Lions captain Liam Trotter had given the visitors a surprise third-minute advantage with a superb solo effort, bending a 20-yard shot past Lee Camp after cutting inside from the Millwall left.

Forest were dealt a second blow minutes later when Radoslaw Majewski was forced off injured and replaced by Adlene Guedioura.

The substitution changed the direction of the match as Forest began to have the better of the chances.

Andy Reid tested David Forde with a low shot before Sharp, after combining with strike partner Simon Cox, slotted home from the left edge of the box.

Reid twice more called Forde into action as Forest threatened from the playmaker's troubling set pieces.

Millwall themselves could have taken the lead into the break, but Darius Henderson headed over from close range minutes before the interval.
