Forest score three times in 10 minutes to take a 3-1 lead into half-time of their match against Barnsley.

Nottingham Forest scored three goals in 10 minutes to take a 3-1 lead into half-time of their match against Barnsley this afternoon.

The visitors had the first good chance of the match when Andy Reid crossed for Billy Sharp, but the striker's effort went just wide.

Barnsley took the lead less than 10 minutes later as Marlon Harewood latched on to a Jacob Mellis ball before rounding the keeper and slotting home.

Forest were soon level, however, when Greg Halford fired the ball past Ben Alnwick with the outside of his foot.

The visitors took the lead seven minutes later when Simon Cox finished off a fast breakaway to complete the turnaround.

This lead was doubled just minutes later as Chris Cohen struck his effort past Alnwick to complete a fine spell for Forest, giving them the 3-1 lead going in to half-time.
