Liverpool's Diogo Jota ruled out of Fulham clash?

Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota is reportedly set to miss out the Reds' trip to Fulham with the knock he sustained against Midtjylland in the Champions League.

Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota could reportedly be forced to miss out the Reds' Premier League encounter with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form since making the switch to Anfield from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has quickly become a regular starter under Jurgen Klopp.

Jota already boasts nine goals for the Premier League champions across all competitions, but Klopp revealed in his pre-match press conference that the attacker took a knock in Liverpool's draw with Midtjylland in the Champions League.

Now, The Times suggests that Jota will not be ready to take to the pitch at Craven Cottage and it remains to be seen how serious the problem is.

The Reds are understood to be waiting for the attacker's injury to settle down before they can determine how long Jota may be sidelined for, with Liverpool already without the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Thiago Alcantara.

Klopp's champions are currently level on points with Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table, but Liverpool are behind the leaders on goal difference as they bid to defend their crown.
