Leyton Orient assistant coach Marcello Donatelli pleased with point

Leyton Orient assistant coach Marcello Donatelli hails the team for 'battling away' to draw 2-2 at Preston.

Leyton Orient assistant coach Marcello Donatelli has praised the team for fighting back to earn a draw at Preston North End.

The O's secured a share of the spoils in the League One clash at Deepdale last night thanks to a late goal from Chris Dagnall.

With manager Fabio Liverani suffering with a fever after the game, Donatelli credited the players for showing their battling qualities.

"It was a more difficult game because we played against a team who are both physically and technically good," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I'm pleased with how we battled.

"They are very strong physically and with the ball, but we played a good defensive game with will and sacrifice so congratulations to the players for this point."

Leyton Orient continue their league campaign next Saturday when they make the trip to Colchester United.
