Watford complete Nathan Ake loan signing after defender signs new Chelsea deal

Watford complete the signing of Chelsea defender Nathan Ake on loan until the end of the season.

Watford have signed Chelsea defender Nathan Ake on a season-long loan after the youngster penned a five-year contract extension with the Premier League champions.

The 20-year-old Dutchman has made 12 senior appearances for the Blues since 2012.

Ake, who can also be used in midfield, played five times for Reading during a loan spell at the Madejski Stadium towards the end of last season.


Ake has won 13 caps at Under-21 level for the Netherlands.
