Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton is allegedly interested in bringing Fulham goalkeeper David Button to the club.

The Sun reports that Button, who is out of favour in West London, could be tempted by a fresh start with the Seagulls.

The newspaper adds that Hughton wants cover for first-choice stopper Matt Ryan, and that a £4m deal could be completed this week.

Button, who has one year remaining on his current Fulham deal, appeared 21 times for Slavisa Jokanovic's team last season.

The goalkeeper would be Hughton's third signing in this window, after completing moves for Florin Andone and Leon Balogun.
